For those who have been following our life for the past year, you know it was beyond time for us to get away! Since Julie is still recovering from chemotheraphy, we decided on a trip that alternated periods of activity and rest. A train trip sounded lovely. Plans were to take the train from Dallas to Chicago, spend a couple of days there, then take the California Zephyr across the country to San Francisco. After a couple of days there, we would fly home. Did it all turn out as planned?
