All Aboard!
In a very auspicious start, our train was two hours late. But then, Amtrak shares tracks with freight rail, which gets priority. Dinner was even running a few minutes late, but it was okay, even though it was reheated. The waitress was sassy in a good way. Paul had the paprika beef, Julie the butter chicken. Surely someone had the lasagna.
We were booked into a roomette, an approximately four by six foot room with two facing seats and a large window. At night the space converted into bunks. Paul took the upper bunk, and it was tight.
We did manage some sleep.
