I'd say that we're in the dog days of summer, but that would be an insult to the dogs. The cat days, perhaps. They're loving this heat - mostly. Abby tends to seek out the cool tiles of the front bathroom in the early evenings after a hard day of lounging at the patio door, watching birds and preening for the catcam. Midnight spends her days zonked out on the bed, conserving energy for her 4:30 am hairball. We could set our clocks by them.

Spent Saturday not working, as noted earlier. Spent yesterday not working, either. Watched the last episode of Foyle's War last night. Next week: the beginning of the end of the Inspector Lynley series.

Also watched This Island Earth. Only in that era could a star get away with the moniker Rex Reason. Apparently that's his real name. The film also revealed the origin of the Oompa-Loompas.

I do have things to do today: More on the new web site, laundry, grocery shopping, and drooping in the heat. Lots of drooping in the heat.

Hope your week is not as warm!
