So here I am. The writing isn't going well. Maybe it's the economy, maybe I am, after all, a talenteless hack. 

The Steam Cat business seems to be thinking about taking off. But the embroidery machine I started this with is getting persnickety. My so-called studio space is practically non-existent. 

I'm looking at a minor eye procedure next week, and surgery on the other eye at some point. 

So yes, I am, to quote Boss Taggart, de-pressed. And Cole Porter music ain't gonna get me out of this one.

Oops. I hear the embroidery machine seizing up again....
