I was reading the comments on an editorial at our local paper (not going to link), and among the "usual suspects" comments on either side of the issue (which is why I'm not going to link. It's depressing) was a post suggesting a book. The post read like jacket copy, and failed to mention the author. I went to check it out. The author of the post and the author of the book are one and the same.
But of course.
Hey, it may be a good book. But that sort of self-promotion is totally off-putting.
