This weekend everyone I'd given a deadline to decided to turn stuff in. Unfortunately, some the items items should have been turned in ages ago. Too bad. I was hoping to take advantage of the cool weather and get a few things done around the house.
Yes, I should just be glad to have the stuff. Now I get to spend two days reworking things, then send it back and wait until past the deadline until it shows up.
Which reminds me, I need to go ping a few people for some items that were due last week.
So, what else happened this weekend? Went to a family gathering yesterday. Tex-Mex. Yum. Replaced my mouse and keyboard. And somehow in the process I managed to disconnect my backup drive. It's getting full anyway, so before I do anything else I need to stop and get that going. It would be a disaster to lose data right now.
Tried on my dress for the Hugo Awards Ceremony. It's lovely, but I'd better not gain any weight between now and then. I found a wrap in a drawer that seems to be perfect for the dress, which means one less thing on my plate for the next six weeks. I already have a pair of shoes that will work. Yay. Now I need to dig up accessories and stuff. I want to get my pre-packing and lists of things to pack for Worldcon out of the way because I've a feeling the last week before I leave is going to be crazy.
Better get to work. And oh, it's Monday. Laundry. Grocery shopping. Joy.
