Glorious Sleep

Fresh when it gets here from Julie Barrett

I had a three-hour nap yesterday and slept through the night last night.

I'm feeling better today, though I'm facing a truckload of work. And I know I'm feeling better because something that should have triggered some strong emotions one way or another last night triggered them the "good" direction. When I'm lacking in sleep and tend to be more stressed, I'm a LOT more negative. I wish I wasn't that way.

Anyway, I've got to balance the checkbook and do my post-con shopping. Before you say "yay, shopping," allow me to qualify that. My printer is dead in the water due to lack of ink and there is no food in the house. THAT kind of shopping. I do have lots of chocolate in the house. Normally that would be a good thing, but I do believe in moderation. Okay, I have a decent supply of beer and wine, too. (This was one con where we threw a party and didn't run out.. I haz leftovers!) Moderation as in healthy food for a change. I am surprised that, with all the sugar I consumed over the weekend, that I haven't gained weight. Man, if I could harness nervous energy in that way all the time...I'd be a mess. Forget it. ;-)

Off to get ink, food, and then get down to work.
