Yeah, well. We're not all like that here in Texas.
We all have our moments, but Perry wrote a book outlining how he would shrink the government. Considering that's one of his key talking points, this gaffe is worse than most. If he'd done this early in his campaign he'd probably have been given a pass. As it stands, this comes on top of that speech in New Hampshire and other lesser stumbles.
I'm not quite so sure that Perry's campaign is dead in the water. He's come back before, particularly here in Texas. He's surrounded himself with a good spin team.
I'm not pulling for Perry to win, though.
