Monday Mumblings
Fresh (almost) daily from

Not a whole lot to say on this Monday that hasn't been said or won't be covered in the next post. I spent much of the weekend recovering from Thursday's allergy attack and fending off some low-level crud. That in itself may go a long way towards explaining the mood I'm in. Most of my time was taken up with reading (yes, a "What I'm Reading" post is next, how did you guess?) and watching a little TV. I devoured about 1,000 pages over the weekend. Hey, if I'm not going to sleep, I'm going to read.
Chris and I went out for our usual Monday coffee, and I remarked that I felt like I was in a rut and needed to do something to get out.
"Which one?"
Kid had a point. Oh, there are about 47, I think. And that's the problem. I've got so much going on that when I put my head up for air, I'm seeing the walls of the next trench.
Well, I knew the job was dangerous when I took it.
So, what do I do? Fortunately for my bank account, buying something shiny and new has never done the trick. Not that I wouldn't mind something shiny and new once in a while, but we just had a shiny and new CV joint put in one of the cars. Transportation is a good thing. I am going out of town for a couple of weeks, but it's business. New surroundings might help, though.
I don't know. I'll think about it.
