Another Bad Air Day...

This is the time of year when I should be lazing around, catching up on this and that, and generally enjoying a time without deadlines.

This week I am not breathing very well. I think it's a combination of the DIY project in the office, the dust I kicked up last weekend, and the live Christmas tree.

Give one of those up? Not likely. The tree is generally not a problem as long as I stay on the antihistamines. The DIY and cleaning projects needed to be done. In other words, I knew the job was dangerous when I took it.

After two nights of tossing and turning and the nagging feeling that a sumo wrestler had encamped on my chest I decided I really ought to take a breathing treatment. Only I discovered the nebulizer wasn't working well. The good news there is that I just needed to run some extra vinegar and ater solution through and do a deep clean on the mesh filter. Oh, and whack it on the side a couple of times. I guess there was a clog somewhere. It works now and I expect that after another day I'll be on the mend.

I did sit down tonight and make some notes on the steampunk novel, writing out a few bits that have been rattling about in my head. That felt good. Must mean I'm finally getting oxygen to the brain.

I'm more than ready to go to bed, but am waiting on the last load of laundry to finish. Everything got pushed behind when, on a whim (lack of oxygen to the brain, I tell you!) I decided to strep the bed and wash everything. Generally, I'll do sheets at one time, comforter another, mattress pad at some other time. This time I had the idea in my head that if I did it all on the same day that perhaps it might help me breathe better. Paul helped me turn the mattress.

So now I should sleep well, right? Ha.
