I think I got away with it...

One of the stops on this afternoon's round o' errands was the Post Office to mail some books. I'd placed the books in a sturdy tote bag, intending to transfer them to a flat rate Priority Mail box for shipping. I found a parking space next to an SUV. Two adorable dachshunds were in the back seat and I said something to the lady in the passenger seat about how they were lovely dogs and all that as I grabbed my bag and waltzed inside.

As I placed the bag on the counter to transfer the books to the box, I realized I'd put the books in a tote that the lovely and talented Pat Elrod gave me a couple of months ago. Pat (who writes under P.N. Elrod) also has wicked sense of humor. She'd made up a bunch of tote bags with snarky slogans for a charity sale and handed me a particular bag because I was having that kind of day.

Fortunately, the slogan side of the bag was next to my body, so I don't think the lady in the SUV saw this:

Like Basil Fawlty, I think I got away with it.
