We tried to take a nap this afternoon. Paul fell right asleep, but it took me a while.
Silly me, I forgot to move the phone. Of course, it rang just as I drifted off to sleep. Some telephone poll. Of course, they couldn't come on the line right away. I had to sit through a series of clicks and sundry noises before the perky pollster started his spiel. I told them that I refused to participate in a poll with a company that didn't offer Caller ID info and hung up.
Then I tried to relax and get some sleep. Just as I was about to fall under one of the cats got right in my face and let out a meow. Midnight is not generally a vocal cat - unless she wants to go outdoors.
No sleep makes Julie cranky.
