POD-DY Mouth (I love that name and really need to add her to the blogroll) lists some of the worst opening paragraphs from POD novels. Please, move your beverages away from the keyboard.
If you're thinking of going the self-publishing route, you should add this to your reading list. As she points out, not all POD books are bad, but someone has to wade through the crap to find the good stuff. My hat's off to her for doing that.
In spite of the heat I managed to bowl okay tonight. I thought I was going to pass out at one point, though. I should have worn shorts instead of jeans. Oh, I was well-hydrated, as my many trips down the hall and sweat pouring off of my face proved, but I just don't do well in heat.
Must find something to put on the iPaq to listen to as I try to sleep tonight. Last night it was a BBC adaptation of Agatha Christie's The Sittaford Mystery. Tonight, I don't know. Some comedy, perhaps.
