Tunnel
The carriage, house, garage, stables, and hunting lodge are across the street from the main house. A tunnel connects the two parts of the property. It's a good thing they had telephones. Can you imagine asking the chauffeur to bring the car otherwise? Sounds like a scene from "Downton Sixby."
