Apple ][
Manufactured by: Apple     Model: Apple ][     Year: 1977

One of the most successful early home computers, produced from 1977 to 1993. It initially had a 6502 processor, built-in BASIC, 4KB of memory, and a cassette interface for external storage. A floppy-disk interface came a year later. The original retail price was $1298 with 4K of memory, or $2638 with 48KB. (This would be $4475-$9095 today.) The first personal-computer spreadsheet VisiCalc initially ran only on the Apple II.
