Yes, fanfic. As in fan fiction.

I've been writing fanfics for years. It doesn't pay the bills, but the stories are fun to write. Wait a minute: Fanfic can pay the bills, in an odd way. Once upon a time, I edited a Quantm Leap fanzine called A Matter of Time. It's a long story, but it led to Quantum Leap A-Z. Check out it and other pro work here.
