Safari now works under Vista...pretty much
Walked past the computer and noticed that a Safari update was available. I can finally get it to (mostly) work under Vista, which is good news. Now I can test browser compatibility easily. Before, that entailed begging a friend with a Mac to take a look. I still see things that aren't working properly (stuff that works great in Netscape), but I'll give it time to see if it's the beta browser or something I need to worry about.

But for now, it's back to housework.

Safari on 64-bit Vista? Fuggidabout it!
I decided to give the Safari browser for Windows a try. It seemed a good way to check my web pages for the Mac without actually having to lay out for the hardware.

Well, I can see the Apple home page, but I can't type anything into any text boxes. The pre-loaded favorites show up as little blue ball icons with no text. Once I visit the site then the site icon shows up, but still no text. I couldn't go backwards from the NYT site.
