Spring, We Hardly Knew Ye

Fresh (almost) daily from Julie Barrett

Oh, I'm being a tad melodramatic, perhaps - except we have a chance of snow in the forecast for Saturday night.

Welcome to Texas. If you don't like the weather, wait a few minutes.

I ran outside and shot a few pictures before the sun slipped behind the horizon.

Here are some apricot blossoms, kissed by the pink of the late evening sun.

A dandelion.

This is the smoke tree in the front yard.

And finally, new growth on one of the rose bushes. No buds as of yet.

Tomorrow should be an absolutely lovely day. I'll bring the patio plants in before evening. The forecast for Saturday calls for an 80% chance of precipitation with highs in the upper 40's and a chance of snow in the evening.
