I suppose it's time for a life/health update.

But first, cat tax!

First, the health: The neuropathy is improving, and so are my energy levels. Yay! I have more tests and imaging over the next couple of months. I'll update those when appropriate.

I'm also back on the weight loss wagon. This is NOT related to the cancer. I'd like to lose another 15-20 pounds. As before, the plan is to do it slowly. I started this particular journey three years ago next month and have hit the 50 pound mark! I celebrated with a couple of Thin Mints the other night. Do I know how to live it up, or what? ;-)

So, life. There is one thing (mostly good) that I'm holding off on talking about because I'm waiting for a few things to fall into place. I'm just going to say that it will be a massive burden off my shoulders.

I'm back on some home organization projects. The next big job is to finish the bathroom cabinet job I started at the onset of chemo. There's this one cabinet that has become a dumping ground, and I just didn't know what to do with it. At my age I don't want to tackle a big job without a plan, and now I have one! The stuff to make it all happen should arrive tomorrow.

I have one other major dumping ground spot in another room. I'm working on a plan for that. The plans for both spaces include a lot of decluttering along with reorganization.

And yes, I'm not pushing myself too hard. I continue to be aware of my current physical limitations.

The family photo project continues. I've saved the hardest part of the work on my family line for last. It involves scanning in a bunch of sheets of negatives (done!) and the corresponding prints (partially done!). I want to match up the negatives with the prints so I can note in my database where the negative to each print can be found. This takes some time.

I also found a load of ephemera - newspaper articles, mostly. When I get all the photos out of the way I plan to scan all that in and update my genealogy software so all those facts will be matched up with people. A couple of other family members are also doing genealogy work, and I'd like to share this with them.

Then I get to start on Paul's family line.

Again, it's all about getting this stuff cataloged while the people in my generation are still alive. Yes, I hope we all have a long time left on this planet, but the last year has taught me to take nothing for granted.

Long update. I really should do this more often.
